my switch layers offset in translation

I have a guitar set up with each set of strings set up as a switch layer under the main group layer "guitar" (I have six switch layers with 6 strings each set up so that I can turn on any combination of strings to vibrate using vector noise settings.)

My problem is that when I rotate or translate the layer as a group the switch layers do not follow and the strings end up someplace else. Is there some kind of binding that needs to be done?

Thank You.... I've been going so cross-eyed trying to assimilate all the info that's out here I forgot all about the manual... I even remember reading that at one point now ... duahhhhh LOL
