Em, sorry how do hide a layer...

Em, sorry how do hide a layer while you need to work on another layer? I have tried unticking VISIBLE, tried removing the eyes, tried ticking the HIDDEN IN EDITING VIEW... no response.

Did seem to be able to accomplish this before!

Suddenly I am able to just get the layer to disappear by clicking the eyes - but have no idea why that wasn't working before

Did you have the layer selected that you were trying to hide? If you do, then it doesn't disappear. It had me a bit confused the first few times too.
