Switch layers for fbf?
it kinda occured to me that you could use the switch layer like a fbf thing
i'm trying it out with interesting results
i'm only posting this because atleast the toons that i've seen made with AS, I haven't really seen anybody make like a fbf with the switch layers-
I've seen plenty of switches for body parts etc but not a full fbf
once i make something I'll post some results- but if anybody has seen switch layers being used for a fbf can you post a link so i can see how they did it

Try a forum search for user jwlane. If I remember correctly his technique is largely if not entirely frame by frame: http://www.vimeo.com/animatedlane
With all the respect but your are talking like if you have discovered something new and revolutionary.
We all already now that you can use Switch layers for maing FBF in AS, even the Manual say so.
Some people have already made their work animating FBF in AS but most of the members prefer not to use it, they prefer to use bones or point animaton.
FBF is my favorite way to animate an you can see some of my FBF anmations here:

When you have some FBF animation ready please share it with us.

no i dont thinks its revolutinary- i was saying- I haven't seen much of it and I was looking for some samples
I was also wondering if there was some way to interpolate switch layers even if they dont have the same vector points
i mean- I know I can use Sony Vegas to edit and use a motion blur to fill in the frames but I didnt know if there was a way to do it in AS
BTW
i've only been animating stuff with AS since december 2010 so I'm still very much a noob =D

I see, you are pretty much a noob
but doesnt matter, and let me tell you that you have taken the correct desicion taking AS as your digital animation software, may be AS is not the best for making FBF but still let you do a bunch of awesome stuffs.
That i know AS cant interpolate switch layers if they dont share the same vector points.

I did a few examples using switch layers for fbf. I used ranger Smith from Yogi Bear as an example.
