How do I make something appear later in the timeline?

Post by Technus »

Hello, I'm a newbie with Anime studio, and I was wondering if someone could help me with figuring out how to have something just appear out of nowhere later in the timeline. Or have lines coming out of something at diferent intervals. It's driving me crazy because it's so simple, yet I can't figure it out in Anime Studio :(

Does anyone know how I can do this?

here's an example. I suppose you could call it frame by fram animation:

Thanks :)

Is that some kind of molecule showing strong and weak bonds?

Any way, use layer invisibility.
Sorry for bad animation

Double click on the layer in the layer pallet to call up the sub menu, you'll see a checkbox for layer visability. checking or unchecking the box on the frame you want to make on or off. Also you'll find layer opacity setting if you want a fade in/out effect. I think the allow animated layer effects option needs to be checked on. If you have AS7 pro , you can use the stroke exposure tool for making lines appear or disappear.
