dialogue limit

Post by Tom »

currently the dialogue is limited to two. is there someway to have more than two? For instance, how does one carry on a conversation between multiple characters?

Each character gets his own switch layer, papagayo file, and soundfile.

Sounds like you're using Debut, Tom. You'll either want to upgrade to Pro for unlimited audio import, or you'll need to chop the dialogue up into separate scenes and use a video editor to splice all the scenes together.

Another option would be to have all the characters lip sync to the entire audio and then go back delete the key frames made for each character that should not be talking at that time.

Also what Belgarath suggest is a good idea. For example when one character is talking have a close up of him and then cut the scene(render it) and zoom in on the other character and do the talking for him.
Sorry for bad animation

you're right, i'm using studio debut 7 not pro. i had s feeling that might be the dase, but nothing in the instructions mentioned a limit and when i did a comparison check between the two showing the capabilities of each, that was not identified. I can try the good suggestions youins have made and see if they work. I am not an illustrator or cartoonist but just would like some cartoon characters to carry on a conversation to point out the pros and cons of spring water. It seem like pro has more than we need but would it be better to just upgrade to pro?

Ha ha! Assuming this isn't a quote from some comic, that's a great big lump of irony, right there...Not bad, for spam.
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?
