Hi --
I want to render out a 3D scene in Anime Studio in two passes -- one for the left eye and one for the right eye.
Assuming the camera is stationary and in the default position in Anime Studio, and pretending that the setting for the anaglyph export is 0.02, what do I need to set the camera for the left eye and the right eye at to obtain the identical field of depth I would get if I rendered everything out as a single anaglyph pass?
I assumed that the pass for the left camera should have a X location of -0.01 and the pass for the right camera should have a Y location of +0.01 (since the camera's default X position is 0), but the 3D depth appears to be off. (The end result is closer to the screen than what it would be if I rendered the scene to anaglyph or viewed it in Anime Studio in anaglyph in real time.)
Do I need to adjust each camera's pan so that they're facing inward? Is there some other setting I'm missing?
Left and right eye settings for 3D render in separate passes

The thing I need to find out is.. what are Anime Studio's internal settings for this when rendering to anaglyph? Obviously, Anime Studio doesn't change the settings from shot to shot -- there's some sort of fixed value things are set at.slowtiger wrote:That would do the job, I suppose.Do I need to adjust each camera's pan so that they're facing inward?
You rarely read about this, but you'll find this mentioned in several articles about recent 3D films: that each shot is adjusted separately for impression of depth and point of focus.
I need to make sure that what I see in Anime Studio (and what gets rendered in anaglyph mode) is the same as what I get when rendering out each eye separately.
