Dana's first animation.

Post by Dana »

I just uploaded my first serious attempt to use Anime Studio Pro 7 on YouTube. It's a demo video I'm working on to show the different things that I do. Here's the link:

Please let me know what you think about my first effort. One of my sons does animation work for the movies in Hollywood (Alice In Wonderland, G-Force, others) and he's already given me about three months worth of revisions to do on it! But hey, I gotta start somewhere...

Nice work! That's pretty good for a first try. How much of it was done in AS 7? What do you use for your 3d Work?

Looked pretty cool. I liked the 3D stuff too, what are you using for that?

The overall video was done in Anime Studio Pro. The 3D house illustration with the trees was done in DenebaCAD (which I don't think is sold anymore). The other 3D stuff, including the sky backgrounds, was done in Carrara. The satellite and rocket were imported into Anime as .obj objects from Carrara. The samples of my print stuff were imported png files of projects I had previously done in standard graphics software (Freehand, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.). The girl was done by making a series of screen snapshots of a dancing girl on YouTube, then tracing them in Anime. I used switch layers for her turning head, but I've still got a "hiccup" there I'm trying to get rid of. The models are actual models I built from scratch; that really is a house I built inside a one-gallon jug. I hope that answers all of your questions. I got a lot of help by reading this forum while I was working on this project, so now it's time to pay it forward! Thanks for looking and commenting.
