Okay, AS claims that it makes animation easier, by automating those things that require a lot of time to do, like Frame by Frame, with Onionskins. So I am trying to understand (yea, master) Onionskins, to combine with "regular" computer animation, in order to create things that don't look mechanical or stiff, and to squeeze all the performance out of this software that it claims it can do...
Ease out, Ease in...Like Walk Cycles, it's warping my poor brain, but I'm relying on "blind faith" that it works.
So, I open a New file, and under Preferences, I set the interpolation to Ease out/Ease in.
I create a circle in the center of my workspace, and Enable Onionskins. I place an Onionskin marker at frames 1,5,8,13,17,21,and 25 (1 second).
I move my ball to the far left of the screen, and click the timeline to place a key at frame 1. I then click the timeline to place a key at frame 25 (the end), and move my circle to the other side of the screen.
The onion skins are automatically placed in the correct sequence for Ease out/Ease in...
I am amazed...It looks exactly like the example in the Animator's Survival Kit book, which I am reading alongside the User Manual.
I still don't quite grasp the usefulness of it (YET), but AS has shown that it can automatically draw the FxF with just a few mouseclicks...
My studies and experiments continue...
