The PNG drawings look fine, perfect. I recommend you don't leave that much empty space around them - crop them to 50 x 50px, this takes some workload off AS.
Too bad U can't open it :(

Thanx, I'll do that ^^
about the petals, I think I'll animate them one by one then. Thanx so much 4 helping guys, I really appreciate it. If U guys happen to know how to fix my problem, please don't hesitate to tell me :D
U guys rock!! :D

looks great! I took the switch layer out of the particle layer and it renders perfectly in place. So something is going wrong in the particle layer. If you really want that few petals it may be best to make copies of the switch layer and move them manually. I will take another look at the particle settings tonight. This scene is going to be great, though! :D

I have no idea why putting the switch layer full of pngs in the particle layer strobes the petals like that. :) Putting a switch layer full of vector layers in the same particle layer worked just fine.

I quickly traced your petal animation into a vector switch layer to show how that would work. I also adjusted the particle settings to the way I would do it. The nice thing about using vectors is that AS7 will interpolate between the switches if you want it to. Provided of course that you have installed 7.1 because 7 has a switch layer interpolation bug. Or instead of using switch layers, you could use normal point animation with any version of AS.

[edit: if you don't have 7.1, I can post a render.]

Thanx so much 4 helping me solve this problem. I use After Effects to solve this ^^;
I rendered 6 version of petals and just duplicate them and compose in AE (thou if I could do this in AS, it would be so great). composing in AE need extra work thou it works.

I've check the file U uploaded, it's still blinking, sorry 4 the trouble (U even go all the troubles as tracing my PNGs, I really appreciate it). is it really ok to put animated switch layer inside a particle layer? This is my 1st time doing that and it's not working.

maybe next time I'll stick to the AS + AE technique then :D

thanx again 4 Ur time guys. It means a lot to me

this is the result (I'll delete it next week)

Yes, it should work to put an animated vector switch layer inside of a particle layer. It worked for me, anyway. :) Have you installed 7.1 which fixes the switch layer bug? You may be referring to the blinking at the beginning or end of a lifetime. The petal will appear or disappear after a certain number of frames controlled by the "lifetime" field. You can see a little bit of lifetime flashing at the end of this render: http://vimeo.com/17438893 on the right hand side. But the particles within their lifetime don't look like they're blinking to me? Is that how it looked for you? I'll take down the video shortly.

But I'm glad you were able to find a way to animate this scene. It looks great! :D Can't wait to see how you use this scene!

So, I need to install 7.1 to get it to work then? ok then!

In my AS7, it looks blinking all the time when I hit the play button

hehe thanx so much Iwaxana :D
I still need to learn a lot
