Catgirl does a disco strut walk cycle

Post by neeters_guy »

Hi, been too busy to post lately, but here's a little project I've been working on sporadically. It was inspired by super8mm's girl bunnies I saw on the Animators Forum (www.animatorsforum.com), except in this case, I used a character from my friend's site.

See it here on Youtube.

Or an early version animated gif here:

The walk cycle is loosely rotoscoped from the Ghostbusters music video. (Bill Murray's walk has lots more personality than my example. :P)

The character rig is a combination of many useful techniques found on this forum, including the mandcon rig, funksmaname stacking and hand building techniques, and selgin rope technique. Thanks, guys! :D

That works really well with the music. You're creating quite a collection of characters dancing to/playing music. Perhaps an animated rock opera is in order? :)

Thank you for the compliments! It keeps me going.

Rock opera? Hmm... give that some thought, I shall.
