Use the step frames. Also if you did a walk cycle then translated the layer to make him move across the screen you may have moved him to fast.

Can I ask you how you achieved the 'SOUTH PARK' like jerky animation style? And secrets? Or simple STEP animation on the timeline?
I like to use step frames. When you let the software do the inbetweens the animation feels to mechanical.

Funny concept! I little note on the animation, try turning off the smoothing on your frames and set all the inbetweens by hand. Then your animation won't have a mechanical floaty feel to it. Nice job!
