Here it is. The final product. Like I said, Softened it up. Keep In mind that I needed to have some detail in there, cuz Eve is going to walk down this path, and there is going to be a few things going on in this scene. Fog, clouds, and other things

Wow, right on. Uh thats great you got a cover. I tried like heck to get a cover, especially on the conqueror story. I hand painted a cell for that story, but they sent it back. I was really hoping to get a cover shot under my belt. I'll definately check out your stuff. I was a huge fan of Robert Dejesus, He was pretty darn good. I sent away to get a portfolio of his work. He sent me a couple laser prints, but he never sent the portfolio. I was a little dissapointed with that, since I sent him cash for it. Kinda got stiffed on that deal. Im also a huge! Adam Warren Fan. (Dirty pair for Eclipse comics). Maybe you could post that cover, Id like to check it out.
Heh, that sounds like Robert DeJesus. He's a talented manga artist and, as you know, a fan favorite. I don't know what he's up to these days, but I read in Nintendo Power (#249, Holiday 2009) he redesigned the pirate character Risky Boots for the DSiWare game Shantae: Risky's Revenge.
Adam Warren's cool too and a real pro. I had a chance to see his pencils on a Dirty Pair issue. Incredibly detailed. Just mind-blowing.

Wow, I may actually have those books in my collection they look familliar. Not bad, That is definately some of the best cover work on the older issues. I remember some of the covers back then were not so good, but I can tell thats really good considering the time period. Alot of american guys were trying to summon the manga spirit during that time, and not doing to well. I like Ben Dunns work, always have. When he started out I was impressed with his unique style. Mind you I was collecting Comico's publications for the Robotech series. It was the only thing back then that even closely resembled anime, and it wasnt good.
By the way whats your real name?
Thanks for the compliment. I have no illusions about my work though. I freelanced about 6 years in comics. The best part is making friends with other artists and meeting the occasional legend. It's a kick to have fans come up at cons and praise your work...it's easy to get a big head! But making a living is a challenge. I'm comfortable now, but I try to be encouraging to those who have at least a modicum of talent and drive because I've been there. So keep it up!

I appreciate that. I got a long road, but thats how its always been. As long as I keep moving forward something is bound to happen.
This is just the very basics of the scene Im setting up. In this scene she starts to walk down a swampy path. Basically Eve is immortal, In this scene she is a dream state, comfronting the dead who want her to die. Zombies are telling her that she has cheated the natural order of things by being immortal. This is the kind of nightmare that Eve constantly struggles with throughout the series. She struggles with her immortality.
The zombies are rigged, just trying to figure out the scripting on this scene. Its a scene that I havent scripted, but had a visual in my mind. This scene will let the viewer know of Eve's internal struggle.
The atmosphere in that scene is really nice. And it's cool to be learning more about Eve. It looks like it could be a tough scene to animate with that front view walk cycle.
Here is a test for Eve's Recharge Chamber. I have been having serious issues with my Audio Set up. Trying to work out the recording issues. The sound really got messed up on the other scenes that I put out. This scene is very short, but like I said its a test. Still got to get some voice talent. Marzout
Ill post the link soon, still uploading to youtube.

Lol, Whats that? Steampunktastic. I think I like the comment.
O.k.... I just looked that up. You nailed it with the steam punk thing. Its funny how your influenced by a style of work that you were unaware existed. God im so, out of the loop on these things...LOL. Well I did like Jules Vern the time machine, and Frankenstien.
Of course im working out the background for this scene. This is basically the set up for Eve's dream sequence. The recharge chamber will be in a gothic setting. stone floors, walls and ceiling. Lots of pipes, and yes steam. Think Boiler room. Marzout

Hehe, I was thinking of the borg regeneration alcoves. Either way, it's pretty damn cool. I like the bubbles in there, too.

If other avenues don't work out for voice actors, folks in the forum might be able to help out. A lot of people voice their own cartoons so they might enjoy the voice acting aspect and have pretty good mics. I might treat myself to a decent mic pretty soon. If I do, I may be able to do some female voices. It depends on what kind of voices you need and what level of crappiness you can accept. I've also noticed a lot of people hold auditions for fan dubs etc. on youtube and a few of the actors there are really good. Of course, your best bet is probably a voice acting club.

Yeah, Im going to have to deal with this soon, or Ill be in a hitch. Im moving into story phase, so I pretty much need to get this worked out. I may need some help, but Im going to see what all my avenues are first.
