Re: Making a smart action - everything dissapears.
UPDATE: I finally got it working. Still have several mysteries, though. 1. Why does the character disappear when I create the action? 2. Why does the smart dial and character change position when creating the action. Also, when creating the head looking down position, I thought I could move all the ...

Making a smart action - everything dissapears.
Hi, I'm new to actions but I'm following several tutorials and it's not doing what it's supposed to The first problem (and that's all I'll mention for now) is that after I Make a smart dial, when I click on create an action, everything disappears. I do get a new timeline but it's maroon and not blue...

We're probably all a bit crazy.

Re: Masking a character to look like it's coming our of a TV
I just got it working - with a little elbow greese. I used this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjdB0AiV I tried it yesterday but it would mask something but not all of the character. Then I tried "add to mask" on all the layers of the character and it worked! I need more understa...

Masking a character to look like it's coming our of a TV
Hi. I've got a flat screen TV shown from the side so that all you see of it is a thin vertical rectangle which is the side of the screen. I'm trying to get a TV anchorman to come out of the screen. So basically, he needs to be invisible in the back of the TV and appear as he comes out. I was hoping ...

Re: Smart bone looks fine - points move when switching back to Main timeline
For some reason I'm not getting notified when there's a response. So I'm late to respond. Anyway, I just redid it and got it to work. It's been a while since I posted this question so I'm not sure exactly what I did. But once it worked I moved on to other problems. Trying to work as fast as I can. W...

Re: Smart bone looks fine - points move when switching back to Main timeline
I'm doing a little more experimenting.
I'll get back here this weekend and see if I can figure it out.

Re: Smart bone looks fine - points move when switching back to Main timeline
Hi.
Right now there is only the one character. No animation yet. And only the one Smart Bone.
Is there a way to upload to this forum?I haven't found it yet.
Thanks.

Smart bone looks fine - points move when switching back to Main timeline
Sometimes MP is very frustrating. I'm doing my first head turn using a smart bone. I go into the action and create the head turn. All looks fine. Then I go back to the main timeline and several of the points have moved. I go back and forth getting it perfect. Main timeline keeps going weird and not ...

Re: Can't get rid of thick border that's attached to fill.
Thanks for your comment. It could be. I looked at all the options and can't see a difference. I also took the Head layer out of the masking folder and put it above all other layers and it still has that border. I also tried using the blob tool and got the same border. What's weird is that even when ...

Can't get rid of thick border that's attached to fill.
Hi. I've got a head drawn with the freehand tool and multi-stroke selected so that the fill and stroke will stay together. The stroke is about 6. pixels wide. All looked great. Today I opened the same file, changed nothing, and when I render, the stroke looks almost an inch wide. But it's not the sa...

Re: Fringe happening with masking
Hi. Not sure what you mean. The highlight and shadow are the lowest layers. Here's the layers from top to bottom. All inside the mask folder: Head Mask- hide all Highlights - Mask this layer (I put it in Overlay blend mode so it won't mask the line drawing on the Head layer.) Shading - Mask this lay...

Fringe happening with masking
Hi. I just started to use masking and am running into a problem. I'm using it for highlights and shadows on a character. I noticed hat the mask covers the black outline strokes. So I did some playing around with Blend modes. For the highlights I found that Overlay allows the black outlines to show. ...

Re: Cause and remedy when won't play back
Apparently, if there's an audio problem with the Mac it'll keep Moho from playing anything.
I restarted and luckily it's now working.
