Re: Timeline in Time mode
You can do this in the Preferences. Go to the Timeline tab and enable "Use SMPTE timecode." The gray ruler at the top will still show frames, but the area below, where the keyframes are, will show minutes and seconds.

Thanks, Synthesin, that worked once I figured it out.

Binding a point on one layer to a spot on another layer
This is a little hard to describe. I'm doing an animation of an ocean mooring that has a buoy on the surface of the ocean, a long cable (actually called a stretch hose) that is attached to the buoy and also attached at the other end to an anchor on the bottom of the ocean. The buoy moves up and down...

Re: ASP11 Zooming Issues
I was having problems with the zoom tool also, zooming interactively in ASPro 11. In previous versions I could press Contral+Shift (Mac) and drag to zoom as much or as little as I wanted. That changed in 11. The Shift-RightButton-Drag option only zoomed so far in that it was useless. This thread mad...

Re: Animating text attributes
OK, that'll work. I hadn't thought of switch layers. Excellent. Thank you, Slowtiger.

Re: Animating text attributes
Oh, this is brilliant! I like this a lot, and it works fine. Thanks for this great tip. Now - another thing I want to do with a text layer if it's possible: I need to have a label showing years going by, so ideally I would like to animate the text in the text layer to change from, say, "1990&qu...

Re: Animating text attributes
AH, thanks, guys. That's what I needed. Would be nice to be able to change the color in the Text layer dialog, though, but this is very good.

Animating text attributes
I'm using ASPro 11.0. I need to animate the color of text to go from one color to another, but it doesn't seem to work. I've made a text layer and entered the text, chosen a color, size, etc. Also on the General tab of the layer I checked "Allow animated layer effects," just in case. But I...

Zooming the workspace
I am using ASPro version 10.0.3 on a Mac (OS 10.8.5). I'm finding that this version of ASPro will not let me zoom into the workspace in the way that I want to. In previous versions I could hold down the Control key and drag left or right and zoom in or out in a continuous way, and get exactly the le...

Re: How flip path points
You don't need Follow Path. Select the points with the Select Points tool and at the top of the menubar you'll see the Flip Vertical and Flip Horizontal tools.

Re: Problem with Lost Doodle Tool
Thanks, Vern.
I had already deleted the files I found in the Resources folder, but I finally found them in the scripts/tools way at the bottom of the list. Deleted them and all is fine now. Thank you.

Problem with Lost Doodle Tool
Sometime ago I downloaded and installed the Lost Doodle Tool in ASPro 9.5. I never could get it to work, but just left it there and didn't try to use it. I've now upgraded to ASPro 10.1 and it still doesn't work, but I can't figure out how to uninstall it. I went into the app's package contents, to ...

Re: PNG Image to Vector Layer
What would be helpful I think is if a more complex cropping functionality were adopted, basically allow points to act as an image crop, and allow the points to be automated. Some sort of 'auto crop to image' would help, and then you could still adjust the points. You should be able to do that using...
