I finally found the cause of negative keyframes!

Hi guys, I've been less active here lately so I don't know if this is already known but, as far as I knew, the cause of the long standing problem of negative keyframes causing slowdowns was unknown, right? and needed to be solved using synthsin75's life saver "delete negative keyframes" sc...

Re: Problem with Vectorpoints in MOHO 14.30 compared to 14.20 ??

I can't check the file right now but I think this is a bug related to the new 360 smartbone improvements on 14.3. From my notes: This only happens on 14.3, if the smartbone has a smartaction for one direction but not for the other, and it's pointing to a target bone. The solution is to add the missi...

Re: Moho Pro 15 Wishes and Predictions

I would prioritize fixing and improving all we have. In that sense, Moho 14 was great because it improved the renderer and fixed some bugs. I didn't care that much about the new features. For Moho 15 (or Moho 14.5) I wish they fix: Reference layers corruption. Bezier handles bugs related to bone ani...

Re: Moho crashes each time I edit a smartbone

I haven't heard about a bug like that. I would start by disabling all my scripts (you can just temporarily move them to a different folder) to check if the problem continues. And if that's not it, I would make a copy of the project and start deleting things until I find some element (maybe a point, ...

Re: What are the colors of the action timeline represent?

The blue timeline means it's a smart action, so it's controlled by the rotation of a the bone that matches the name of the action. Red timeline means it's a normal action. Green timeline means it's a morph action (only has one keyframe).

Re: How do i make vitruvian bones for head and whole body?

I'm trying to make Vitruvian bones for my characters heads but it's not working at all. The bones disappear but the artwork remains. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Following the steps but they're not working. Any tutorials on Vitruvian bones for whole body and head out there? Any tips? Are you ...

Re: Proper timeline workflow when adding elements

Both solutions to that problem have their pros and their cons. In my tests, animation in the timeline (tested with a huge file) didn't have a big impact in workspace performance or editing performance, and that's why I have used the "one file for many animations" approach a few times. But ...

Re: Can't copy frame 0 OR line boil not working on frame 0

Welcome to the forum! The keyframes don't appear in frame 0 until you animate something at a later frame. I guess this is because there are so many variables (channels) that you can animate in Moho, so if the program shows the keyframes at frame 0, which channels should it show? showing all of them ...

Re: ...keep a custom swatches image on startup?

For any custom Moho presets (Styles, Swatches, etc.,), I like to use number prefixes. Like 00_, 01_, 02_. This way, anything with a number gets forced to the top, and not only will they sort numerically, I also can 'group' related items together by giving them the same number. That's very useful! I...

Re: Can anyone tell teach me how to use the Action shortcut?

Yeah it's the kind of idea I love but I have never used. Maybe because I keep forgeting its existence. But I think it could be handy. It works like this. You asign a button to an action, for example the letter b to the action "blink". Then you play your animation normally and you push the ...

Re: editing audio in moho

I also thought you couldn't cut audio but the other day I saw this video by Modelman Animation and it explains audio in moho in depth, many things I didn't know, like yeah you can cut audio and much more. It's still not the most comfortable workflow so I would only use it in lack of a better option....

I just tested it and no, the order doesn't make a noticeable difference.

Re: Does referencing (bone layer, e.g. Characters) make Moho slow?

I just made some tests: It happens the same in Moho 13.5. It happens without negative keyframes or corrupted references. It's not afected by worskpace rendering performance. It doesn't happen if the reference visibility is off. However, to rule out the possibility of being just the rendering perform...
