Smart Bone Rigging Job
Pay is negotiable. I need you to rig the "Goober" character (supplied, from the Moho Space Pack set) with a very detailed set of mouth controls to work with our new Lip Sync app. It was designed and intended for 3D animation, and is presently working great in Maya, Blender and Daz. We feel...

Re: .dat file works for Switch Layers, Not for LipSync Actio
Hi Wes,
Thanks for "timeline visibility".
Do you mean the .dat files work fine using the LipSyncWithActions script in "Head Rig With Actions.moho?"

.dat file works for Switch Layers, Not for LipSync Actions
Hi, I'm trying to use the script "LipSyncWithActions". Link to .lua file below. Running the script allows you to automate the process of copying keyframes from actions onto the main timeline. It is designed to work with .dat files generated from Papagayo, which contain a 2-column list: fra...

Understanding Moho Terms Re Masking
I understand masking in terms from other software: There is a "source" and a "target". Whatever shape/image on whatever group/ layer is selected as the "source" will determine the shape and position of the mask. Whatever shape/image on whatever group/layer is selected a...

Re: Use Phoneme Data to Drive a 2.5 D Bone Rig?
Wow, thanks Wes! And thanks Ramon! This script works right away. Here's a tip: The script asks you to "Insert action as" either "reference" or "copy". "Reference" keyframes will play the actions as per the keyframes on the action timelines. "Copy" ke...

Use Phoneme Data to Drive a 2.5 D Bone Rig?
I'm playing around with different ways to do lip sync. I have a pretty nice 2.5D head rig with lots of bones to control head turns, facial features, including mouth. It's a lot like the one in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60rCuqXi53w But I really want to automate lip sync with data li...

Thanks for the help Wes. However, I clicked on your link and it took to Spam hell. I'm very afraid to click anything on that site.

Re: Use smart bone rig to create mouth shapes?
We're still struggling, trying to create a library of mouth shapes, using the technique described upthread. My animator tells me that the "teeth" layer "resets" itself instead of animating properly. I've uploaded the Moho file. Is anybody else able to recreate the problem? Is it ...

Re: Use smart bone rig to create mouth shapes?
I have a bone layer "Head". Inside is a Group Layer "Mouth". Inside is a Vector Layer "Mouth Shape". 1. I go to a random frame, say Frame 27. I select "Head" Layer, so that bone manipulation will work. I adjust Smart Bone controls, and Mouth Shape changes. 2. ...
