If you want to do it as described in the Ae exercise, try Lukas' Set Origin script, available here... Set Origin This tool lets you animate the Origin (i.e, 'pivot point') position. I have not tried Set Origin to animate a rolling box, but I think it should work. Just a guess, but it probably works...

The two-line trick only works for 90 degree angles, but that second idea is definitely more elegant than my two-shape suggestion.
