Re: The return of MotionArtist!
I've been using Adobe Edge for various projects for the last six months, and really hate how it doesn't target canvas. Sign me up! This looks awesome.

how do i make my vector images look more raster?
I currently switched artists for a project I'm working on. The original artist drew everything on paper and scanned it, and the characters had a certain "grunge" look due to this process, and obviously it was all done as raster within AS. The new artist I'm working with does all the artwor...

i couldnt live without illustrator, but thats mostly because its so heavily integrated with photoshop, illustrator, flash, indesign, etc. all of which i used on a daily basis. i cant speak on other software, as illustrator is all i've ever used. Does it make drawing easier? I would say the exact opp...

thank you! I actually have a few Muybridge books on the way to help out with my walk cycles (and more). I certainly know what you mean by the body not moving, I still find the parent bone a bit tricky. also, your comments on using switch layers for different poses, that is exactly what I had in mind...

I've worked with a combination of vector and raster during that project, and I found using PNGs a timesaver. Maybe the rendering took longer, but for me it was more important to get a quick screen update when moving things around, and this suffered from too many points when I had background element...

yes, i figured that would be the best method, however it just has so many disadvantages that go along with it, not the least of which is an added learning curve to an already long process, and yet another proprietary (and unique) format to incorporate into the mix. At least flash and illustrator are...

Can you describe the optimization you mentioned? for example, the characters will be drawn in flash, using a wacom tablet. Therefore, it's not simple splines creating the lines, but fills, which are ultimately made up of many points. I export the flash image as an .AI, then inside of AI I select al...

using raster instead of vector for look?
I am familiar with using both raster and vector sources for my characters in AS, however a good majority of my time is being spent in optimizing the images from Flash into Illustrator, into AS. (I do not make the characters myself, my artists use flash and illustrator). I have found it much easier t...

hi, new to board! Here are some character concepts
hey all, I have actually been a moho user for almost 2 years now, although I really only dabble. I joined the forum because I am about to take a project I have been working on for the past 5 years into production (sloowwlly). I intend to use Anime Studio Pro exclusively for the character animation, ...
