Line Width Stroke Change

After creating a vector line width, how can it be changed ?
Say I set line width at 6, now i want to change it to 2.

just the one shape? if so: select it with the shape select tool; go to the styles panel and type "2" to replace the "6" in the "width" box.

My Problem is not the line width, It's how to stop the "Random" line width.

and … are you using freehand? if so, to prevent it happening in the first place, look at the freehand options pop-out menu and pick the line width options you want - maybe "none" and not taper start or end would do what you want?
