Optimization of text layers for SWF export

I'm a new anime studio pro user and having problems exporting to flash in terms of file size. When all I have is one background jpeg and one alpha'd PNG, I get the size down to about 20k as a .swf export. I then add a single layer of text that scales and translates (no shear, nothing like that, just scales and moves, and not even at the same time) and the file size jumps to 100k. We're talking nine words of text, nothing special about them. No gradient fills, nothing.
It seems like it's not treating them as vector and I can't figure out why. Any thoughts?
Thanks so much for help!

Text has a lot of points in the outlines. I'd do that part in Flash, if I really need to produce an SWF.

Apologies for the noob question, but how would I go about doing that? Product the text part in Flash and export to an .avi or something and then import that as a layer in Anime Studio?

You could just make the text in AS like you are doing then save one frame of the text as .png with all other layers off then import that png back into AS and then turn the vector text off.

The important question should be: which format is your final output format?

In that case you need to work in Flash anyway, to incorporate the code for linking etc.
