Hi! I'm having the same problem. Masking doesn't seem to work right in AS 9. What did you figure out?

As usual, I figured it out too, right after I posted. Thanks!

Wait, what was the problem?
As a humble and general suggestion -- if you had a problem but it was some minor thing, there are probably ten other people who had the same issue but were not bold enough to say anything (and the developers may not even know there is an issue). I would suggest that when anyone has an issue they bring up and then figure it out, that they just add a quick sentence saying what they did -- for example: it didn't render
but I forgot to change my preferences. This helps other users solve similar problems and the developers fix usability bugs.
I hope I didn't overstep my bounds...

I think you're right Erik - to collect responses saying "I have the same problem" | "never mind I fixed it" doesn't really help in the long run, and if you ever make the same mistake you won't be able to remind yourself of that simple fix (speaking from experience)

Sorry about that, you're right, I should have explained.
For some reason, the masking instructions for each layer were changed when I opened the file in AS9.
I accidentally noticed this when I unchecked one of the layers.
I did however, open another file in AS9 that I built in AS6, and the masking was right.
I'll be more specific in the future.
Thanks
