Here is a new revised episode of Toon Life. I just finished it. The previous episode that I did was just a sample. This is the cartoon that inspired me to start ToonLifeOnline.
"Playing to the Crowd."
Episode One of Toon Life: In this episode Jerod is devastated from news about Ryan Cabrera's new cd. On a quest to help create music for Cabrera, Jerod plays a show to test out the new songs. It is an unforgettable performance!

Surprising as it may be but I watched the whole animation! I know -- shocking -- considering any animation over 3 minutes is too long for the average person to watch.
Anyhoo, I liked it. I think you have a unique animation style that doesn't need much tweaking in my opinion. From what I watched I get across that you are having fun when animating and that really shows in the animation. You are not hung up on walk cycles and other "stuff" people who first start animating seem to do incessantly.
I liked the part where Grandma keeps interrupting the phone conversation. I also liked the part where the blond girl zones her sights on Jerod with her devil voice and then it changes to her high pitched "happy go lucky" voice. You relay good character development.
It is little stuff like *that* that interest me in animations. I'm not a big fan of the dry and stale Disney type animations, Japanese Anime or 3d super hero stuff.
So I say keep on animating as long as it is enjoyable for you. That is what me and my sis are doing -- we are going to start our "Floop and Bump Fables" today. We must be crazy to animate hours an dhours of animation no one will watch. But it's enjoyable for us and that is all *that* matters.

Thanks you so much for the comment! I usually don't get many comments when I post on this forum so I was surprised when I saw you post such a great one.
I had doubts about making it so long because I knew not a lot of people would watch it. But like you said it was a ton of fun to make. That is what was important to us. If I concentrated on walk cycles and stuff it would take forever to get done. Since this is a series I knew that wasn't possible. the few people like yourself that have watched it all the way through seem to really like it.
areyouguystwins do you have a website or something where I can watch some of your work? I would like to check them out.
Once again Thanks!

We don't get any comments regarding our posts and samples on this "Share Your Work forum. I think the weirder your stuff is the less comments you get. I figure most people don't watch our animations anyway, but I might as well post links should some weirdo be interested in checking them out.
Here is the link to our web page:

We are currently working on the "Floop and Bump Fables." My sis and I just finished writing Episode 1 of Series 1 -- The School Years. We are starting to animate Episode 1 -- it will only be about 3-5 minutes long. Much shorter than our feature length film we just finished "Big MOD Blows" which ran at 94 minutes. In the Floop and Bump Fables each episode will be about 3-5 minutes long and we plan on animating 12 episodes in Series One.
Anyway, we aren't making a cent of our animations, nor are we getting any "kudos" or "high fives" from anyone in the "biz" -- it's our labor of love I guess. That -- or we are certifiably insane.

"areyouguystwins" I watched some of your movie, I didn't have time to watch it all. I plan to when I do have time though. I like more family friendly stuff but it was still interesting stuff, a bit strange but I like your style. What is your new series going to be about?

Not too bad ToonLife! The ending wasn't what I expected. I thought Jerod might actually get a break. And the way Zach (I think that's his name) talks is quite unique and funny. Looking forward to seeing more.
areyouguystwins: I'm still viewing yours. Wasn't going to comment until I was finished.

Thanks for the comments. What is funny is the "Zach" character is actually based on one of my friends in real life, of course exaggerated a bit.
