I have been using Anime Studio for about 2 years, and recently started learning flash as well... i feel like i have been lucky to have such a remarkable forum aid me in learning Moho/AS, im looking for something similar for flash.. any ideas? since flash was bought by adobe, and adobe's forums seem to be pretty worthless...

check out http://www.kirupa.com

i read some of their stuff and it worked pretty well for me.

though most of the stuff i do are mostly actionscript 2.0 nowadays. i still like to do some animation with cool motion effects.

also check the adobe livedocs for additional information.

There are bunches and bunches of Flash resources all over the internet.

Flash has been around for a loooong time. I usually just do a google search with what I want to do... preceded by Flash or Actionscript. I can usually find exactly the technique or code I need.

For instance I was trying to find lua code for some AS scripting. Nothing. So instead I did a search for Actionscript... Yeeehaaa! Bingo. Tons of stuff. And Actionscript isn't so different from lua code it was easy to convert it.

Adobe's site... the WHOLE site is... so slow and bloated as to be nearly worthless. It may have lots of resources but the pages take an eternity to load. Especially any of the old "Macromedia" stuff.

I found flashfilmmaker.com (now 2dcgi.com) a while ago.
Lots of very talented long-timers over there. Very traditional animation bent (i.e., software is not going to do the work for you) but lots of help and good vibe.
