Does anyone know of a good freeware app that can approximate the effects of "Rotoshop"?

There is a very early version (0.1) of a freeware rotoscope program available at:
http://www.toonyphotos.com/
Unfortunately it's a linux only app at the moment...

Installed and tried... No instructions. Difficult to use. Better to do same job with Anime Studio.

There's also the Cartoonizer plugin for VirtualDub

it sometimes gives interesting results...
