Frame Skipping with Lip Sync?

How many people here actually use the frame skipping feature when doing lip sync?
I personally find it only to be good for testing out the timing in your action sequences with no lip sync.
Maybe it's just me but when I use the frame skipping for lip sync the lip sync goes out of sync.
Thoughts?
