rendering w/ a stroke

Am I mistaken thinking there was a way to add a stroke to an AS render? I thought for sure I saw that somewhere, but now can't find it.

Or am I thinking about some other application? This is what I get for playing with too many apps.

Your question seems to be a bit vague. What exactly do you mean a "stroke" to the render? We might be able to help if you elaborate a bit more.

stroke = line.

Like a "line" around/behind the moving layer.

Try the "Layer Effects --> Layer Trail..." inside the Script menu to draw a line along an animated layer translation path0, hmmm... I'm not sure but maybe Mactom had another script for this pourpose in his thread, but as I said I'm not totally sure...

I know what a stroke is..."behind the moving layer" helped explain you were looking for a stroke that trailed your image.

This is what I've been trying to achieve -- and the settings I used to get it.

But....the stroke gets clipped in some places.

Any ideas?

Can you show a closeup shot of the clipped areas in construction curves state. Also a shot of the layers window hierarchy at that affected clipped areas?. Or simply post the anme file...

Here's a close up of the knee with its layer highlighted.

I have tested a simple shape with high expansions values and the problem gets worst even. I don't know how the layer shadow algorithm works but I have to say:
1) if I put 30 in expansion and the project is 320x240 and change to 768x586 this shape takes to render (a image) about 20 seconds!!
2) If you have a value in expansion and change the project size, expansion also change.
3) It seems that it is a pixel calculated algorithm so it have some bugs (perhaps that's the reason why the amount is limited to 30)

You can put it i the bug area.
