This is a first draft, proof of concept for a title sequence for a video about the artist leroy neiman.

My original plan was to use After Effects for all of it, but I thought I would give A.S. a try. Frankly, i don't think I could have done it in the same amount of time!

First project in A.S.

As soon as I get a real soundtrack to animate to - I'll post the results.
Leroy saw it and liked the idea so much he will be doing some custom sketches for it - which is a cool chance to colaborate with a legendary artist.

I was never much of a fan of the artist in the old days, but your work with his characters really makes them appealing.

I love the way you animated the Ellington band--what a tour de force of AS's capabilities--because the musician movements ring true. I hope you're not too much in awe of Neiman's reputation to realize that you make a splendid partner in this.

If you ever make an instructive "making of" DVD, please let me know. I would love to learn from you. And if not... why not cut a deal with some of the other artists here, for a joint "making of" DVD?

I like more the intro than the video itself. The intro is very well done. The video is only a repetition of a well done scene but with one or two seconds would be enough,

Continue posting please. I like the drawings.

Thanks for the encouragement and compliments...I'll post the final version when done -

I must say that I have found AS to be a lot of FUN! Yes, a software program that is fun to use.

I am trying to think of a new project just to experiment with it more.
