You may want to have a look at the program. It exploits a nice way of assembling marionette characters, making it very easy to manipulate them. It doesn't look as flexible and powerful as AS, but... The program may be interesting for children and educators.

For whatever the reason the program developer Sven Nilsen is currently pricing it at $9.99.
