Strange reply to topic notifications

Over the past three days i've had several reply to topic notifications sent to me but when i click the link the default page reads " This topic is non existent" and i can't find it with a search either. Does anyone know what's going on or had similar?

It was probably a spam posting that someone deleted. You got the notification before it was killed.

Aw shucks.
I get more out of this forum than anything I do, that's for sure. I hope it always maintains this friendly feel.

sometimes there are really old threads with an answer, i see the e-mail and feel glad.
but no, it was spam, the topic doesn't exists...
i need some moderators inside my email.
