Hey guys,
I was messing around with moho and magpie, but i dunno how to lip sync with em.
Can you guys please tel me how.
Or if there are any good tuts you may know which woudl help me.
Coz in the moho tuts - it says nothing about how i would put teh characters in to magpie.
For your info - i cant draw for peanuts - but im trying my best.
Im more used to Afrer effects and Premier.
Thanks in advance.
Take care

I found magpie to be a nightmare getting anything working in it.
Give Pamela a try, it's a free program made by one of the members of the moho comunity and it's by far the better choice if you ask me.
I made a post about it on the forums, take a look for Pamela
Good luck.

The best advice I could give you is check out the site that contains Pamela:

It's very simple to learn how to us it. I made my first lip-sync in about 2 minutes.
Also, you don't really import anything in Pamela. The preview guy you see there is just a basic example of what your animated mouth would look like with the setup you've done.
read the how to guide on that page. If you still don't understand how it works, read it again. It's pretty easy, you should be able to nail it the first time.
as for switch layers, and how they work, take a peek at the moho manual. These things are VITAL in anyone learning how to use these two programs. They contain everything that you're wanting to do, and then some =)
Good luck.

Pamela may be easier to use, but both Magpie and Pamela work with the same basic concept. In neither program do you import Moho data. The idea is that you load in an audio file, and you process it in order to determine which mouth shape should be used at which frame.
After processing the audio file, you export a "switch data file" - this file is imported into Moho, and tells Moho which mouth shape to use at which frame.
If you're trying to import Moho characters into Magpie (or Pamela), I see why you would be confused - that's just not the workflow for these programs. Magpie has multiple included mouth shapes, but these are only meant to be used as a guide to see how well the lip sync is going - they don't necessarily look the same as the mouth you will ultimately use in Moho.
