Hiring FX aritsts for next-gen console games
Posted: Wed Aug 02, 2006 8:27 pm
Hi everyone!
Some of you may not know that my real job is making video games for consoles (PS3/XBOX360) at High Moon Studios.
I work closely with the FX artists to generate particle effects and shaders for our games.
Recently we were discussing the qualities of a good FX artist and it occured to me that there is quite a lot of overlap in the skillset between a good Moho artist and a good FX artist. The details of the technologies we use can be taught, it´s the animation skills and having that "artists eye" that we are looking for.
We have several full-time openings, from Junior to Senior level, and if you are interested, please send your resume (CV) and your work samples to: macton@highmoonstudios.com (or you can PM me here.)
We are located in Carlsbad, CA, which is just north of San Diego.
Mike.
