Moho increase the brightness of Photoshop designs

So I design a lot of my backgrounds in Photoshop; however, when I import them into Moho, the brightness gets ramped up, and when I export, it looks washed out. Until I import the sequence into Premiere and change it to Red 709 through Modify. Is this normal? Any advice or just confirmation that this is normal would be awesome! :)

Save the PSD art as a regular 24-bit color (8-bits/channel) image. Moho isn't fully compatible with 48-bit color (16-bits/channel), and it can display and render the colors incorrectly. 24-bit color, however, should look perfect.

When I need a 48-bit background (which is most of the time), I'll save a separate 48-bit version for final compositing in Ae or Fusion. The layers output from Moho (not including the background) will start out 24-bit, but after compositing with the 48-bit background and applying any effects in the compositing program, they will be output as 48-bit in the final render.

If that's not it, then, yeah, it's a color profile issue. I just use standard sRGB for the background, unless I really need something specific. This makes it compatible for a wider range of applications.

Hopefully, Moho will get updated to handle higher color depths and profiles in the future.

Thanks for your reply! I still have an issue, though. When I export my Moho as PNG images, the images become so washed out, and all my blur, etc., becomes 100 times more blurred. I have to go into Premiere and change it to Rec. 7. Is that normal, or is there a setting I should change?

Just an update: I managed to fix what had been driving me crazy for like 5 months.

So, I got a new monitor and upgraded to Windows 11 about 5 months ago. Since then, color accuracy has been a nightmare for me. However, I found a setting: if you go into, display settings > color profile, you should then see a setting called 'Automatically manage color for apps.' I switched that on, and now all my exports etc. match across all apps. Honestly, I'm so relieved it had been driving me crazy!

Hope this helps anyone in the same boat as me 😆😆
