Adjusting the patch layer in a smart bone action dislocates patches in a normal action

For my character I set up a left/right body turn with a smart bone and two associated smart bone actions as usual.
And I use patch layers to have a smooth crossover from limbs to body.
After setting up a few actions like walkcycles, I realized that the patches in a walkcycle have to be adjusted - so I did that, and keyframes were set in the respective action for the transform of the patch layer as expected.
After that I realized that the patch layers in the body turn smart bone action also needs some keyframes, so I did this. However, this shifted my patches in the previously edited walkcycle!
This seems like a bug to me. Or is this intended, do I make a fundamental mistake here? Please help out on this issue.
PS: The only solution seems to be to delete the patch layers and create them again. Then it works as expected.
The only thing that I realized: when I click on a patch layer and in the action window on "smart bones", then I see the "body turn" in white font while in "Regular" I see the "Walkcycle" in grey font. Does this hint to some kind of conflict?
