Once you've climbed one hill, you'll find a smooth path ahead. Then climb another hill, and another smooth path, and so on. Until one day you can no longer walk, and can no longer climb that hill, then you stop and cease all progress. So as long as you're alive, you have to keep climbing over the hillside.
