You may remember a few weeks/months ago I was pretty active here as I was finding my way back to Moho with a client work.

Well I finally delivered the video.

That's really good! I had to solve similar problems some years ago, I think you found some better solutions. Overall nice style (very cool, fitting for a presentation), and very good execution.

Yeah Scienceprod is me . The two USAID videos are Moho as well.

You should have seen their first script. I actually had them add the first intro sentence/shot. And it still comes in too quick I agree. Then again, we're talking to people who know the topic.
But yeah, they just provided a proto VO text, and I took over from there (direction, animation etc..)

Thanks for pointing that out. I'm pretty bad with audio, finding it so tedious. But I'll definitely correct that.

BTW, what's the audience for this? It didn't seem to me to be aimed squarely at the medical profession (bit too simplistic?!)

Dunno how much you know about Horizon Europe (the EU's funding programme that pays for R&D such as in Phoenix) but there are two main thrusts of "outreach" - one is called "Communication" - aimed more at the general public / lay audience; the other is "Dissemination" which aims to share R&D results with the research community and professional audiences. There is, ofc, a crossover where the same material has value in both - and gut feel says this video is in that middle ground. Maybe whoever commissioned it will tell you?

Why am I blathering on like this? Well - seriously - go to the project website, thump the "home" button and watch the (minimalistic) website animation.... Now put that in front of your first sequence and stick a few placards on it from the second "home" screenful (or the "Phoenix in one slide" download). Now you have an intro that will prime the (as they will be at the outset) uninformed viewer, whet their appetite and get them gently into the (great) stuff you've created? Assuming, ofc, it's not too late ...

Not sure I follow. You mean putting one or several explanatory slides at the beginning? Not sure I want to do that. It would make the film less appealing in my mind.
The target audience are doctors and the people who commissioned it probably know what they're doing so I'll just leave it at that

nope - not explanatory slides -- just something like the "We are Phoenix - nanomedicine that prevents graft rejection and induces transplant tolerance" splash (like a the DWA logo, boy fishing).

Ah - Doctors -- yeah - I can (now) appreciate the differences in levels of knowledge of bio-molecular sciences across that spectrum of medical / clinical knowledge...

BUT - as you say - it's their call so enough from me!

Yeah that's an idea. Although it would ruin a little bit the reveal of Phoenix saving the day after we explain inflammation. Anyway, they're happy, so yeah..
