Which export option is ProRes 422?

Hi.
ProRes 422 is a smaller file than ProRes 444 (which has alpha.)
I don't need alpha for many of my exports but don't see ProRes 422 anywhere.
Doesn't Moho Pro 14 have that option. I'm pretty sure it was in 12.
Thanks.

Moho 12 had an export option for QuickTime Legacy which made it very clear for you to choose between ProRes 422 (no alpha - smaller file) and ProRes 4444 (with alpha - larger file.)
Moho 14 doesn't have ProRes 422. At least, not that I could find. So does that mean that I always have to export with the Alpha channel ever when I don't need it?
Or is ProRes 422 being called another name in Moho 14?
thanks.

No, you can't export in ProRes 422. The recommended workflow is to import scenes from Moho into your video editor and export the final format from there. (Yes, that's a hassle if you want to render just 1 scene to send out for approval or the like.)

Unfortunately, slowtiger is correct: For now, Moho's ProRes options are very limited. I export to PNG Image Sequence and use Ae-to-Media Encoder to create 422 files. Almost any video editor or compositing program should do well in this, too.
Another option: If you have an older version of Moho still installed, you could render out a PNG image sequence from the current Moho, import that to the old Moho, and render out the 422 file from there.
Alternatively, you can use Moho's H265 (aka HEVC) codec. This is a very high-quality codec and is fine for distribution so long as the file doesn't have to be re-encoded. IMO, H265 is perfectly all right for uploading to YouTube, but be aware that YouTube will re-encode the file by least one generation. This quality should be acceptable to most YouTube users. (Unfortunately for Windows users, I encountered a problem when using Moho's H265 export. Hopefully, this will be fixed in a future update.)
Hope this helps.

Hm. That stinks.
Don't know why they would take it out of the new versions.
422 is great quality and so much smaller than 4444. I only need 4444 when I need a transparent background. So what I've been doing is exporting as an image sequence and importing into Motion 5. Then exporting to 422. Then deleting the image files which are about 3 times larger than the 422.
Extra work for no reason.
Anyway, thanks for the info guys.
