Head turn with a bitmap painting character using smart warp
Just wondering if anyone has managed to rig a head turn using smart warp on a bitmap painting?

Sure, you need to define how the mesh preserves the facial features so they don't distort displeasingly when they move. This is typically done by drawing around each feature in the mesh, like each eye, eyebrows, nose, and mouth.
As with vector art, it can be easier when you break out the facial features into separate layers. This step isn't always necessary, but it's definitely easier when you're making extreme animation changes to the original image.
