Autosave for Crash Recovery

Is there a way to change the default time for "Autosave for Crash Recovery"? I'd like it to be shorter until such time as I'm mostly crash free.
I don't think the built-in Autosave for Crash Recovery works that way, but you can add one of the third-party autosave scripts to make incremental saves based on a user-defined time interval.
Synthsin75 has one here...
