Just for those of you who still don’t have a 3D software
and don’t want to spend a “dime”…
“computer arts” magazine has on this month “cover-disk “ -
Issue 122 - the full version of “Carrara studio 2.1” for free.
(I presume Carrara is already at version 5, but…).

Cheers

I looked at an old press release of Eovia (
http://www.eovia.com/company/releases/11.asp) and it is stated that version 2 has "Bones and Skinning for Advanced Character Animation". Version 2 doesn't have a graph editor like in moho, I think this can be found in the lastest 5.x versions only.

Phil Staiger has a lot of Carrara stuff on his
www.thebest3d.com website. At the bottom of this next page there are some links to older tutorials made with versions 1.1 and 2 which you may find useful

The international magazine shoppes in the center of Rome shrunken and they don't sell foregnein magazines no more.
Fuck, I have bought any sort of english pubblications(comics, magazines) since I was in my prime teen.
Now, the have a common european market , globalization and they cut off all the foregnein magazines.
Dunno why.
Al least is a sunny day..

Heya, thanks! Yes, we're liquidating Carrara Studio 3, I think it's around $40 or close now, comes with the 600 page dead tree, heavy. We also have C4 standard and Pro, and I can also get you the latest and oh-so-sweet-and-greatest Carrara 5.
As of last week, Carrara is owned by DAZ. They also acquired Hexagon. Awesome stuff.

I saw. Daz seems like a company on the move. Don't know much about Hexagon but sounded interesting. Good to 'see you' again Philip.

Just saw that Hexagon is 1.99 at Daz for Platinum members until the end of the month. Platinum membership costs about $30 so sounds good since I thik the product is normally $200+ dollars?
Me, I'm tapped -just ordered Flash and Illustrator education versions but if by some miracle I see money before months end I might pick it up. Sounds like an awesome deal.
