do you have the layer set to be visible in the layers dialog?

RTM!
Ever noticed there is a section called "What can't be exported" under "Flash Tips"? it clearly sais:
On the other hand, some things in Moho are just not compatible with Flash, and cannot be exported to a SWF file. The following list covers the most important of these objects and effects.

- brushes
- fill and line effects (except gradients)
- layer effects (shadows, shading, layer blur, motion blur, etc.)
- image warping or 3D movements in image layers
- image layers that use progressive JPEG images (Flash can't handle progressive JPEG images)
- layer masking
- 3D layers
Don't feel sorry, Moho is still great. As soon as you do some character animation, you'll see who's really a winner - flash or Moho.

If you can, try Maya - it has a Vector Renderer built right in (which means it can export to Flash, too). I think here you'll be able to export your however-rotated images, among lots of other things.

Of course, there is also Flash video, which allows you to play a pixel-based animation within a Shockwave Flash object. There are cheap alternatives to Macromedia Flash, e.g. avi2swf (Win, shareware) and Video2SWF (Win and Mac, shareware).
