Head and Body Turn with Vitruvian Bones

Hey guys.
Pretty familiar with Moho, but just learning vitruvian bones. There aren’t many tutorials on it yet, so I figure I’d ask here.
When doing a head turn, I usually use a smart bone action, and movie the face features( eyes nose mouth etc) to make it look like the character is looking the other direction.
My question is, how to do this with a vitruvian bone?
All of my head assets are grouped into a layer, my body assets are group in another layer. I group both those layers into one layer, why would be my main character layer.
Every thing is separate in layers and grouped accordingly . Can I create another head group( with new eyes nose mouth etc) and add vitruvian bones to it? Or does every layer with art have to be added to a vitruvian bone one by one?
In a nutshell, can groups be added to vitruvian bones, or does vitruvian bones only work with layers.
Hope that makes since
Thanks

Any layer, group, etc. that you can either layer bind or use selected to flexi-bind will work with v-bones.

Thanks for the response. I added the group, and it is working as a vitruvian bone.
Now I’ve run into a problem with my smart actions.
I have 3/4 head view that has all my actions for eye blinks, drowns etc. it’s all working perfect on the 3/4 view.
Since I added the side view as a group, and made it a vitruvian bone, layer bonded to my head bone, no of the eye blinks and switches work on the side view
Do I have to make separate actions for the side view blinks and eyebrow movements? Or is there a way to have the actions that work on my 3/4 view transferred to the side view?

Layer binding will block bone influence, including smart bones, from reaching sublayers. In that case, you want to use selected for flexi-bind on the group sublayers and leave the group unbound.

If the sub layers aren’t bones, how do I flexi bind them.
I have images I can share, but I don’t know how to post them on here

Nested bone control allows you to use selected bones to flexi-bind no matter how many layers they are nested in, as long as no group is bound and blocking influence.
To post images, upload it to somewhere like ImgBB, etc. and post the forum link they give you.

Wow that’s for the help. Here are some images

So I flexi bound “Head 2” in the Zombie HeadSide group, and the head is moving fine. As you can see from the pics, the side Brow Frown doesn’t work when I move the switch. But on the 3/4 view everything is working.
Zombie Head 3/4 is Layer bonded. Does that have something to do with it?

Yes, any layer-bound group will keep smart bones from influencing any of its sublayers. Try releasing that group and layer/selective bind the sublayers instead.

Thanks for this post string. I have created a new a character for my aikido sensei to use as a training aid for students. Also learning Vitruvian bones. Would like to create several views of this character front, side 3/4 and back views. With the ultimate goal being either a switch group and/or Smart Bones Dial so I can switch views. During the course of editing the animations. The alternate is a tedious editing of separate clips in Premier or After effects. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,,,, Mike McGrane.
