No group, no bone binding, like after effect。
At present, the parent-child relationship between two independent roles of Moho is very troublesome and must be grouped。

Looks like you're wanting some kind of node-based system.

Scripting can't do this.

It's not nodal, that's Ae's 'Pick Whip'. It basically generates an expression to link two items and not just for parenting but for properties too. I don't think I ever felt a need for it in Moho but I do find it very convenient in Ae, so maybe?

BTW, Ae is not a nodal compositor, but having used nodal compositing in Fusion, Nuke, and Harmony, I sometimes to wish Moho had this option. There are so many things you can do with nodal compositing that layers-based compositing alone just can't do. I'm not expecting a nodal option in Moho any time soon, but it's been on my wishlist.

Direct parent usually is not good. maybe you want to add some other objects or change it, so usually groups are more Practical. other softwares use peg or null or ....
I think if moho can connect properties of layers is more practical. for example link two independent layers position without grouping.

Moho can do that via layer references. The reference can have different content, but as long as the layer transform channels are still synced, they will still move together. Granted, offset by any parent group transforms.
