COMPATIBILITY QUERY
Posted: Sat Feb 20, 2021 2:04 am
Greetings To All,
I'm new to this forum and have been having difficulty finding an answer to a particular question.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Smith Micro software! I use ANIME STUDIO PRO 9.5
combined with a late 2008 Macbook Pro(OSX El Capitan 10.11.6) ancient hardware to be sure.
Additionally I own Motion Artist and Clip Studio Paint, but up to this point
I've been utilizing my mouse to complete panels, animations, and commercial
work, which is cumbersome to a truly efficient workflow.
I need to upgrade my Macbook Pro to a newer model and OS,as I want to
purchase a Wacom Cintiq 16 Pen Display.
I have the DISK VERSIONS of Anime Studio Pro 9.5 and Clip Studio paint and
downloaded Motion Artist.
Anime Studio Pro 9.5 is my workhorse software however.
MY QUESTION,which may be a stupid one is;
Given the fact that Apple stopped installing disk drives on their Macbook Pro's after 2015,and provided I
have an external disk drive for the disk software installation,
will my Anime Studio Pro 9.5 software work seamlessly with 2018-2020
Macbook Pros with the latest operating system options installed?
This is a requirement for the Wacom Cintiq 16 to work properly?(OS 10.12 or later if
I'm not mistaken.)
I absolutely love working with Anime Studio Pro 9.5.I have NEVER
had an issue with ANY of my Smith Micro software, but 9.5 is my
favorite go to for panel work and simple commercial animations.
I haven't been able to find an answer to 9.5's compatibility with the
latest Mac operating systems regardless of endless searching.
I would be most grateful any guidance if it can be provided.
I thank you all in advance for any attention that might be directed toward this
matter.
Regards,
D.William Martin
