Hello all,
I'm pretty set on purchasing Moho, but I would first like to ask a question.

Using Moho, how would you go about doing a head turn as you see in traditional 2D animation ?

I know there are Flash like cheats where you meerly move the mouth over on the face and move it around, but what I would like to do is have a side view of the character look completely different from a 'face on' view.

I don't suppose that there would be a way to create 'tween' frames using two different heads would there be ?
( From a side view transforming to a frontal view )
( I actually don't see that this would be possible - even with the same number of points in both views, since the points that make up the nose would transform into the cheek as the character turns - and this would not work at all. )

Well, I'm not sure what you mean by 'traditional', but I quickly made this for your viewing pleasure.

Basically, I made a switch layer with three layers. One is called "Head" which is the normal one, looking forward, the second one is called "Head Turning Right" which is where the head is half way right, half way straight, and the last one, "Head Looking Right" which is the final head looking right. I just right clicked on the switch layer and picked the ones at want, at whatever keyframe, and I added some Motion Blur.

Sure - as Toxic Hawk demonstrates, you might possibly need more than one "tween target" e.g. front, 3/4 view, profile, or even more in-betweens. In order to get the tweening (in Moho-speak, interpolation) these are created in Moho as sub-layers of a Switch layer - create one sub-layer, then duplicate it and move the points into their new position to get the next sub-layer.

Well, there's usually a nose in profile as well - points can move as well as tween. The nose can also have a separate line and fill shape, so you don't need to leave the nose in place, you can have front nose, moving and tweening to 3/4 nose, moving and tweening to profile nose.

When animating with a certain amount of "snap", you might be surprised at how few tween targets are actually required. If you step through them, many cartoons just jump straight from one head position to another, with a lttle rotation thrown in to fool the eye.
