Invisible layers become visible when drawing.

I've got 3 silhouette poses on 3 seperate image layers.
I'm trying to draw on a vector layer on top of each one in turn to duplicate the reference image in 3 separate vector layers.
One for each image.

I'm on frame zero. All the images are set to 30 opacity. While drawing the first one, I turned the other two off. The problem is that every time I try to create a point all the images show up full opacity. This happens when I click to start adding points. They disappear when I let go. So I'm trying to draw but I'm seeing everything full on.

I've also tried turning off visibility on the other two. Same.
This is making it impossible to trace one image at a time. I'm sure there's a fix for this.
Any ideas?

Either turn on GPU acceleration or use View>Fade Unselected Layers instead of layer opacity.

Thanks for your answer.
I actually deleted the post but somehow it got on the board anyway.

The problem was I was using a png that had shadows beneath the figure and when I set it to 30 opacity so I could trace it, the shadows ended up looking like I had more than one image on top of it.

It seems the program turns the opacity to 100% when you click to make a point. So it was getting confusing.

But thanks anyway.
