Unwanted outlines in transparent PNGs

Hi, I'm just checking to see if this is a known issue or if it belongs in the "bug reports" section. I'm using the latest demo of Moho.

I have a character contructed out of seperate PNG files with a bright pink as my transparency colour (the character himself is black and white ink style). In any image editor and in the Moho viewport the transparency is correct but when I render I get a slight outline of the transparency colour all around the transparent object. I've tried changing the transparency colour but the problem still persists.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about - the effect is quite pronounced around the eyes area, but effects the entire character:

Has anyone encountered anything like this when using PNG transparencies? I tried a search on the forums but found nothing concrete.

Thanks for any help or advice.

Try to use transparent background instead of keying pink.
I don't know what software you use to create your pngs so I'm not sure if you can do this.
But if youre using photoshop have a transparent background instead of pink and export as png24 with transparency.

I think the brush you used in photoshop (or whatever) is too soft.

With proper transparency that shouldn't be an issue.
If you have a colour in the bottom instead of transparency you get the semi transparent areas (the anti-aliased edge) blended with the background colour instead of a being semi transparent as they should. I think that is what you see in Necrotics illustration.

Yup, that's exactly what it was.

As a force of habit (coming from the games industry) I was keying a transparency colour when I should have just left the background empty. As soon as I deleted the keying everything rendered fine. Arggh, now I have to go export all of those character pieces again :(

Thanks for the assistance!
