"Perfume" - 3D Dance Animation (BVH)

I came across some motion capture BVH data the other day and could not resist creating a Moho performance out of it. All animation/motions are imported directly from the BVH motion capture file and rendered as extruded vectors (3D Bones) on individual layers, with FBF rotational motions then applied. The Android heads are an imported OBJ 3D object.

The three animated characters (A-chan, Nocchi & Kashiyuka) are motion captures from the popular Japanese girl group "Perfume" @ http://www.perfume-web.jp. Music & Mocap data Courtesy & Copyright © AMUSE INC. UNIVERSAL MUSIC LLC.

The background set was created in Moho 12, with the lighting rig derived from "Spot Lights" @ http://www.freepik.com, and an imported "Perfume" SVG logo.

For those of you waiting for the BVH import script... it is coming this weekend (Unless -- I get struck down by lightning again!).

Enjoy ...

I had to check if this wasn't an April fools gag.
This could be an incredible breakthrough SimpleSam, especially if the 3d movement can be properly translated into 2d.
Great work on a very cohesive example.

Very interested in this. I hope it's just not too convoluted to implement.

Very cool stuff, just subscribed to you, what did you use to get the motion capture?
