How do I select more than one shape at a time with my Select Shape tool? I want to change the colours of multiple objects all at once.

You can use Styles for that. Give the shapes a style and then change the style properties.

for me, using styles is mre trouble than it's worth. It takes just as long to set up a style and then apply it to every individual shape than it does to manually set the colour of each one.

Styles are really handy as you're drawing your shapes. Even if you don't know exactly how you want it to look, you can still create your shapes with the right style. Then, you can change all of them in one fell swoop. But the secret to not making more work for yourself is to create the shapes in that style in the first place.

I take back anything bad I ever said about styles.
