Hello dear "Someonewhocanhelp?"

I regularly encounter this problem that the layer-order animation ceases to work for some mysterious reason although the layer animation order is checked !
So the problem is that le layer order works fine until suddenly it doesent for no apparent reason, althoug thera are already keys of layer ordering on the time line.
I think i'm missing something probably in the computer logic, but it is very frustrating .
I wanted to ad a file link here but i coudn't find how to load it.
I can post it if you tel me how to.

Thanks in advance

Layer order can also be controlled with Smart Bones. If a Smart Bone is animating the order, then the software will prioritize that animation over the one you make in the mainline.
In order to make the layer order animation work in the mainline, that Smart Bone(s) must be in neutral position.

Maybe that is related to what is happening to you. Welcome to the forum :)

PS: Please don't double-post.

Hei thank you for your vvvery quick response !!! i thought people asleep at this time at the other side of the Atlantic ... :D
I'm not shure if i see what you mean but im going to try the neutral position thing.
In the mean time i posted the file in my dropbox but don't know if it is accessible like this

I just checked, the right leg refuses to move above the left one (nor will the left go under the right) in this configuration. As far as i understand it is not subject to any smartbone, i think. I just flipped the bone on frame 69.
If you could check.
thanks again
Syl
Sorry for double post i was not shure where to post this issue

Well, I'm in Chile, so the Atlantic is not really a reference for us :)
Chech both Torse rot actions. They have a layer order key on frame one that doesn't make much sense to be there.
If you delete that keyframe, the rig will work as expected.

To be able to change the layer order of some parts without interfering other, I normally group the parts together (a "legs" group, for instance) and then modify the layer order on that group only. That way, for example, the layer order animation of the legs won't have conflicts with the layer order animation of torso, because their keys are in different groups.

Waou !!! Indeed
Again there is the magic of good method!
I learned a lot.
It would be intersting to spread that type of inherent logic and method.
If any thing alike exists i'm interested to know.
And apart from making nice quality animations your counsils and webinars are very usefull and generous.
I hope to contribute aswell in the spreading of this most marvelous program for animators.
Thank you very much for this trans-oceanic help (& sorry for my bad geography )
I checked you do have daylight - so i dont have to have bad concience of keeping someone awake
Thanks again for taking on all this questions,
Syl
