I'm a little late but I just upgraded to Moho 12, and the points do this thing where they don't auto connect, it'll just make a quick little point very close next to the one added.

This is annoying as I don't know why its doing this.

It's also trying to do this with my freehand tool.

Anyone else?

Have you updated to 12.1? Are you still having this problem?

If you have the 'Auto-weld' option on, the cursor should show a red circle on the connecting line when it can and will join:
